Hoppin Into Town

A Bullock Family Easter

We had a wonderful holiday and were visited by two wonderful New York ladies. My mom and my little sister. We hadn't seen them since November so it was a nice visit.

This time last year Avery had a cold and wasn't too excited about doing anything Easter related so it was a very relaxed holiday. Since she was feeling great this year we got to have quite a bit of fun.

We went out to eat and had some great conversation while we chatted. Mom and I shared some yummy mini burgers and Avery was a little angel coloring and munching on her own food.

My sister is a very artistic little lady and brought a fun Egg stamping kit and I bought a 99 cent kit and we had fun making crazy colored eggs. We made one for each family member and Avery's hands were only slightly discolored. Only on Easter could that pass with me. We all had a blast making these multi-racial eggies!

The hunt began the next day. It was a little chilly out so I wanted to wait a bit before we did the first ever Bullock Family Easter Egg Hunt. After it warmed up a little and the Easter Bunny hid the eggs we were ready to rock and roll.

I manned the camera while Joel and Hayley helped Avery find the elliptic treasures and mom enjoyed watching the girls look around the yard. PS I love our yard, it was perfect for the hunt.

My favorite part was when Avery would throw the hard boiled eggs into her sack and they would crunch against each other. Too funny! She did great and has since wanted to do an egg hunt almost every day!

The Easter Bunny had a basket for everyone, you can see him in the above picture in blue, rocking the shades.

We had a great time shopping with Nana and Aunt Hayley and being able to spend time with them while they visited.

Not only did Avery get some fun Easter presents but she got some early birthday presents from Nana and Hayley as well.

One of which was a great Melissa and Doug Sandwich set. She loves having tea parties and making what she likes to call, "Ribbiches," for everyone. What a good sharer.

Check Avery out making a cheese sandwich!

I made my first Easter dinner all by myself (with mom's reminder of when to put the ham in) and it turned out very very yummy. Of course we played our usual Apples to Apples game, mom and I got pedicures, Mom ate Chinese for the first time ever, Hayley and I also worked out together and get this; Hayley ate wheat bread, that's right I said wheat, and here's the proof!!

She said she didn't like it but hey at least she ate it!

It was time for Mom and Hayley to depart, even though the trip seemed to go by way too fast. They ended up having to leave right before Avery went down for her nap and of course the first thing Avery said when she woke up was, "Nana, Hayley?" So they were really missed by each member of our family. It was a great visit and we were very blessed to be able to spend great time in fellowship.
