So we're starting to get semi-settled into our new temporary home. Going back a little bit, when we found out we were moving to North Carolina and needed a short-term lease because the house we were interested in wasn't ready yet, I started freaking out. I knew we couldn't be homeless, that wasn't an option.

I started to think of our options and the first place that came to mind, was Windsor at the Vinoy of course. Having worked for the company I had been here to train the staff members. While I was visiting I got a tour of the property, which is really nice. I figured I would talk to upper management and see if we could get an apartment for just a couple of months while we were waiting to close on our house. Praise God they were able to work things out for us!

We moved in, this time with a smaller truck. To remind you most everything went to the garage. Boxes are starting to get cleared away, but again we don't want to unpack too much stuff because we'll only be here for about another month.

It's a great complex and I'd recommend it to anyone who is down in Charlotte, everything is new and the floorplans are very spacious! Avery is still getting adjusted, but we usually go for a walk around the community everyday. Yesterday, we stopped into the office to see the girls and also went out to check the mail.

We don't really want to move again but can't wait to get settled into our new home. We've driven past it a couple of times and love how close it is to the mall and shops. We'll keep you updated on our new house and Avery as things progress!
