Who are you supposed to be?

Happy Halloween everyone! Avery celebrated her first Halloween today, we got a big pumpkin and I was going to make a face with her hands and feet, but after one hand we decided that was good enough, (especially since EVERYTHING goes in her mouth.) We did not get her a costume, maybe next year. Nana did get her a cute onesie that said "I VANT YOUR CANDY," and some cute Pjs too.

This year we handed out candy together. We weren't sure how Avery would react to all of the strange costumes and new people, but she just stared at the kids, no crying whatsoever. We were a little disappointed because about 30% of the trick-or-treaters were older teenagers who didn't have a costume on. I told Joel to only give them one piece of candy as we were giving others at least two. What nerve!?! I can understand if you have a homemade costume because you can't afford another, but what's Halloween without kids dressing up.

Fortunately we did see quite a few great costumes that made up for the lazy kids. Nonetheless it's nice to be able to celebrate Halloween from our very own home!! I think next year though we'll go out even though Avery still won't be eating the candy.
