A Visit from Two Jacksons
Wow were we soooooo blessed to have Jessica and her little man Brandon come visit us. Her family was planning on coming down later in the summer but it turned out with work and pictures that Jess decided to come visit us even earlier. It was a nice surprise. (Can I just tell you though that flights in and out of (Charlotte's main airport)) are pretty expensive!! )
Anyway we had not seen Jessica since our wedding, which if you read our anniversary post was about 3 years ago! So that also means that we'd never met her baby boy either. So what a treat it was that they were able to stay with us for a few days.
We had a good time while they were here. We relaxed the first day, Brandon got his pictures taken by my favorite mommy photographer. Brandon's pictures turned out amazing.
His mommy cried, his family went hysterical on the phone with Jess and Joel and I fell in love with them too. They were sooooooooo good, because of Barbara but mainly because Jess's little boy is very handsome and so happy.
The four of us (Avery, Jess, Brandon and I), also went to a crazy play date while she visited. I wanted her to meet my mommy group and also to just hang out. There was a crazy mom there that scared us all but other than that it was good. Plus, Brandon got to play with some other kids. It was nice that Jess could meet a few of my mommy friends, in hopes that maybe someday she'll be a part of it. (Still trying to get her to move down.)
Jess coincidentally knows one of the ladies who was in my old multicultural families groups, how weird is that. Both of their boys are part caucasian and part African American and born on the same exact day. So we were going to meet up with this mommy and waited and then after talking to her whil we were waiting we realized we were at two different restaurants with the same name. But Jess and I had a good Thai meal. Jess thought her Panang was a little spicy but the kids were so well behaved!
It was so sad driving Jess and baby Bran to the airport on their last day here. I wanted them to stay forever! I definitely fell in love with little man, I mean how could you not!! Anyway I hope that we get a chance to go visit them sometime soon. Thanks again for making the trip down Hessica. Love you and Bran!!!
