Today we celebrated Mother's Day!! This time last year I remember being a huge, swollen, preggers momma. I was hoping that Avery would be born on Mother's Day last year, but she had other plans. This year, however, is my first "official" Mother's Day and I am such a happy momma today.

Avery woke up this morning in the happiest of moods. She was so smiley and she was even talking in her crib a little too, which is rare for her. I couldn't wait to take her out of her crib and start our day off. She and I played in the living room for the morning.

After Joel woke up, we decided to go to Lowe's for some yard items. We're trying to make our yard a little more appealing for Avery's party this weekend and in general. Anyway, we bought some pretty Dahlianova's (flowers) for the front, a nice sized Maple tree (also for the front) and a much, much better patio table set considering the one we currently have. We haven't had a chance to put any of it in yet because our weekend was crazy with cleaning and Mother's Day and taking care of Avery too.

Joel got me a card and went out to grab dinner for us at Carrabas. YUM!!! I also got an early mom's day present which I LOVE. My Jeep Jogging stroller. It's the best! It even has a place to hook up your MP3 player and speakers on the stroller.

Anyway all in all I had a great Mother's Day and most importantly felt very appreciated by Avery and Joel kept saying how great a mom I am, which is always good to hear. I hope all you other mothers and mommies-to-be had a great one too!!
