Today Joel and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe we've now been together for almost 5 years. We weren't quite sure how to celebrate but wanted to do something special. Our anniversary is actually on Monday, May 7th but we wanted to do something on the weekend. We decided that we would "go back to our roots."

Joel and I met while I was nannying in Centreville, so we thought we would go back and spend a day driving around places we'd lived and also go to one of our favorite restaurants there, Sweet Water Tavern.

It was so much fun reminiscing and also seeing how some things and places had changed too. The food at Sweet Water was delicious and there were also three other pregnant ladies there. One was even wearing the same shirt I was wearing, how crazy.

We decided to exchange gifts we'd picked out ourselves later. All in all it was a great way to celebrate. Next year we'll be celebrating as husband and wive and as parents.
